Jason Robinson, Director of Best Before End Digital, has designed our website and is working with us to develop new interactive digital platforms to extend the ECHO online experience. Jason has developed interface design for Disney, the BBC and iTV services on Sky and Virgin Media.
Chris Ferris, Company Manager,
has survived the day to day running of the company with good humour (mostly!) for the past 15 years. His role has included leading the ECHO public engagement activities and our Crossing Borders international collaboration programme. Prior to this Chris worked as a professional actor, was a founder member of the Half Moon Young Peoples Theatre followed by 12 years as Lecturer in charge of Theatre at a large Inner London FE College.
Sandy Maberley, Artistic Director,
has led Theatre Mélange through its many adventures since 1997 including relocation to the south west. This has involved building cross-sector partnerships and successfully managing complex projects on the regional, national and transnational scale. At the heart of all this work is the desire to share a good story. Working now on the ECHO Project is a fascinating way to continue this.
Ian Shaw, Video & Sound Designer
for the ECHO Project since production began in 2009. Originally a musician/songwriter, in 2008 he completed a BA (Hons) degree in Creative Arts at Bath Spa University studying composition, film & creative writing. He has composed music for contemporary dance, film & installation.
Imogen Smith, Actor
has worked with the company since 2002 when she joined to play Marie in Woyzeck. Since then she has been an integral part of our artistic development and the Crossing Borders programme in France and Romania. As well as being an actor, her skills in devising, improvisation and working interactively with audiences are a valuable contribution to ECHO.
Richard Burton, Lighting Designer,
graduated from Rose Bruford College in 2010 when he began to design the lighting for ECHO in theatre spaces as well as creating the magical world of light and shadow in the quayside shipping containers for Portrait of a Harbour Town.
Stage Jobs Pro
Florence Hazard, Set & Costume Designer
graduated from Rose Bruford College in 2012 where we first met her during a student training project. Flo joined the ECHO team in 2013 to design the intricate landscape for Portrait of a Coastal Town.
Peter Webb, Technical Management;
we first met Peter as manager of Wolverhampton's Arena Theatre on our first visit there in 1997. Since then he has bravely taken us on tour all around the UK, to the Balkans and Romania as well as heroically brokering our first affair with shipping containers on the Somerset coast!
Polly Hall, Writer,
joined us as writer in residence for Out of the Mouth of the Parrett. Her text shaped the narrative of the live performance, carrying the past into the future. Her thoughts along the way are at #ParrettsMouthPoet
